I design and develop web pages because it is what I am passionate about, it is what I truly love, and it is what makes me happy. I don’t mind spending my time on a computer for countless hours to accomplish something fantastic.
I tend to put myself in the client’s shoes; I will speak to them on a professional level and portray an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding. Normally clients are passionate about what they do and they want the world to see, and that’s the basis for creating webpage. I will show them the best way I can help them fulfil their personal goals.
I started on this road about 11 years ago when I was living in Jamaica and I started my own computer business. Most of the time when I should have been at work I was at the computer store buying parts for repairing and building computers, my knowledge in computing was self taught I learnt by pulling my computer apart, repairing and upgrading. I spent countless hours reading ‘how to do’ pages on the internet, with long sleepless nights going over and over, struggling to sort out friends and co-workers computers.
I enrolled in a local college in Jamaica, The University of Technology, on an evening course so I could get qualified as a computer technician. After completing this course my interest grew and I looked towards furthering my education this brought me to Nottingham, England in September 2002. I enrolled in New College Nottingham, where I studied for a British National Diploma in Information and Computer Technology. I learnt basic Java and Visual Basic programming and about building websites; progressing to a Foundation Degree in Multimedia, and then a BA (Hons) in Design.
